In the event a crime is committed against another person, shock and trauma can play a huge role with the victim's inability to recall the details of the crime. The Victim Care Card provides an insight to victim's rights and will provide resources to help the victim process the event. First responders can offer a "safety net" for victims by giving them this care card to offer recourses for mental health and vital information to help victims understand the process of criminal cases. This card will also show the victim that first responders care and offer support to help in any crisis.
The Victim Care Card is available to all law enforcement, EMTs, Social Services and all other organizations that assist victims of crime. Due to the extreme importance of this card being in the hands of every victim, there will be NO COST to you or your organization. With the help of grants and other financial support we will be able to provide service providers and first responders the opportunity to help every crime victim with a Victim Care Card.
